MicroFIBERS are an effective substrate for hydrogel-based 3D cell culture because of their excellent porosity, structural stability, stiffness, and strength. With their pores larger than conventional porous membrane films and nanofibers, these materials allow the excellent cell infiltration into hydrogel/substrate. MicroFIBERS also facilitate an improved handling of hydrogels with low physical strength, thus enabling the wide application range of hydrogels on laboratories.
Innate support for cell-laden hydrogel structure
Excellent cohesion with hydrogel (after surface treatment)
Excellent infiltration of hydrogels or cell-laden hydrogels because of large pore size and porosity
Improved handling property for hydrogels or cell-laden hydrogels
Uniform thickness and fiber density over the area
Higher stiffness and easier handling compared with nanofibers
Economical product that can be cut into desired sizes and shapes for particular uses
Porous support for cell-laden hydrogel (in 3D cell culture)
3D cell culture/tests using various normal/disease/stem cells
In-vitro experiments for tissue engineering and cell therapy
